At least he didn't have his usual missing an easy chance

Agreed, so why the fuck did Bilic play him then?

TBH I can't blame him. He's obviously going to be a 'free agent' in the summer and doesn't want to be hurt.
Also playing in a dead rubber game for a club he has no future at.
Doubtful we see him again.

He's slow and shit which is a potent combination.
Anypne who entertains the idea of extending his stay here needs their head testing.

was listening to a couple of Bournemouth fans on talksport (one, a presenter) the other night and they thought King would be available to sign. I think we'd get him for £15m with add ons. he's looked decent whenever I've seen him

Reckon we keep him. Sakho will be flogged. And we can hopefully mug somebody over the pikey. And it's no guarantee we will get Defoe. And at best. We will only buy two strikers.

He is lacking confidence..and his Dowie- esqe qualities in the box arent winning him many friends. But knowledgeable football people can see his potential.
Deserves a bit of time imo

Same as Carroll against Leicester - good save from the keeper but he shouldn't have even had a chance to get near it from that distance

Yes he hit it straight at Lori's at a perfect height for the keeper. A natural goalscorer would have got over the ball and hit it low into the other corner and scored. It was not a difficult chance and he had time. His shot wasn't even that powerful, had it had more power it may have even beaten Lori's wherever he put it.

He should have buried that chance he had. He's not for me. We need better than him.

Everyone played well, but if you speaking relativity, this lad was by far the most improved performance......not saying much, based on his normal showing, but credit where it's due. He so deserved a goal, and really should have buried his golden chance.
Winner against Liverpool, perhaps, as a goodbye present?
He will be saying goodbye, won't he?

The great thing about playing Fletcher now is that I think we have to register him as a senior player in next season's squad. It's a plus because he's home-grown, but at the same time he needs the opportunity to show that he's worth the place.

I think he's terrible and last night didn't change my view one bit.
It's obvious we're not going to buy a non-scoring striker so what's the harm of playing Fletcher, a striker we already own?
We've nothing to play for now so I would give him a couple of run-outs. Despite what some are saying he's a raw talent. Don't make up your mind about him on the strength of a couple of 5 minute cameos.

I was again impressed with Fletcher even in such a short cameo. Fashioned a great chance to score, made a great break with the ball too and had to be brought down. His physique must be close to the ideal for a modern forward.

I cant believe people would actually start Fletcher. Lumbering, overweight and lazy from last nights cameo alone. It's clear why Calleri starts ahead of him.
